Inmarsat Hires Nokia's Former CMO and Promotes Product Chief

Nokia's Former CEO and CMO Reunite at Satellite Telecom Inmarsat

Rajeev Suri hires Barry French as marketing chief and promotes Jat Brainch to C-suite

Mobile satellite communications business Inmarsat has named former Nokia CMO Barry French as its new chief marketing and commercial officer and promoted Jat Brainch to chief commercial and product officer.

French, who left Nokia in November, will be tasked with improving the customer focus of Inmarsat and driving forward revenue generation as well as taking part in key policy discussions. He will be reunited with chief executive Rajeev Suri, who was chief executive of Nokia until last July before subsequently joining Inmarsat earlier this month.

As a result, Inmarsat will bring together its marketing, communications and government affairs functions under French’s purview.
