Greta Van Susteren is going back to the classroom.
The former Fox News and MSNBC host has been named a non-resident senior fellow at the USC Annenberg Center on Communication Leadership & Policy for the fall semester. Van Susteren’s former cable news colleague Willow Bay is the dean of the Annenberg School.
“I enjoyed working alongside Greta at CNN years ago, and I’m delighted to be reunited with her as we continue our work here to guide the next generation of journalists,” said Bay in a statement.
Before spending 15 years at Fox News, Van Susteren was a legal contributor and later host of CNN’s Burden of Proof and The Point. Before that, she was an adjunct professor of law at Georgetown.
Since leaving MSNBC last month Van Susteren has also been working on a social media messaging app, which is expected to launch in August, her new book, Everything You Need to Know About Social Media, comes out in November, and she’s been using her social media prowess to raise money to bring a CT scan to Liberia. Her GoFundMe page has raised in excess of $100,000 so far. She’ll also be returning to Africa next month for a humanitarian trip.
