Richard Michelson has written a picture book biography profiling the late Leonard Nimoy. The actor who portrayed the character of Spock on Star Trek passed away back in February 2015.
Knopf Books for Young Readers has scheduled the release date for Fascinating: The Life of Leonard Nimoy on September 6. The book features illustrations by Edel Rodriguez.
Michelson and Nimoy shared a long-time friendship. In an interview with MassLive, Michelson talked about how they met: “Leonard and I first met when he was visiting the National Yiddish Book Center in Amherst where I live. I had written the picture book, Too Young for Yiddish which Leonard would later record as part of the ‘Nimoy Library of Recorded Jewish Books.’…We bonded over a love of art and literature.” (via TrekToday)
