Paramount Pictures has unleashed a trailer for Arrival. This film adaptation is based on Ted Chiang’s Nebula Award-winning short story, “Story of Your Life.”
According to Quartz, Denis Villeneuve served as the director of this project. The video embedded above offers glimpses of Amy Adams playing a linguist named Dr. Louise Banks.
The Wall Street Journal reports that the story follows a team of “experts confronted with having to figure out how to prevent Earth’s destruction after alien visitors arrive in massive spacecraft across the globe.” The theatrical release date has been set for November 11.
