ESPN Pulling Sponsored Fantasy Sports Segments Amid Scandal

If you’ve watched sports on TV lately, the odds are that you’ve noticed the massive advertising push by rival daily fantasy sports companies FanDuel and DraftKings. Well, ESPN is cutting back on “sponsored elements” in its shows following the controversy surrounding a potential “insider trading” situation by a DraftKings employee who won $350,00 on FanDuel. Today on Outside the Lines, Bob Ley dropped a bombshell on the world of daily fantasy sports.

“ESPN today continued running commercials for the two main daily sports fantasy companies, but has removed sponsored elements from within shows,” Ley said.
